Understand your IB pathway
Your subject choices sit within a wider Diploma Programme. Use this overview to understand the structure, then open the course you study.
- Six subjects, across six groupsThe DP draws on studies in language and literature, language acquisition, individuals and societies, sciences, mathematics, and the arts. An additional science, individuals-and-societies or language subject can replace the arts choice. The directory above shows the subjects available on EduNinja, not the full IB catalogue.
- SL and HL: different scopeDiploma students take three or four subjects at higher level, with the rest at standard level. HL requires a greater body of knowledge and skills; it is not simply a harder question setting. Compare the subject syllabus before choosing a level, and use the course registered by your school.
- The core connects your subjectsTheory of knowledge (TOK) explores how we know; the extended essay (EE) develops independent research; creativity, activity, service (CAS) involves experiences across those three strands. Plan these commitments alongside your subjects. This directory focuses on subject resources rather than core support.
- Check the course before you beginMatch the subject name, SL or HL, and syllabus version to your school course. For mathematics, check AA or AI as well as the level. A familiar topic title does not guarantee that the required depth or assessment is the same.
- Turn a topic into a study sessionAfter choosing your subject and level, review one topic in the course notes and answer related Question Bank questions. In science, connect a claim to data; in mathematics, explain the method; in economics or business, apply the idea to the case. Identify what the response lacked, revisit that point, and use Documents for supporting course materials.

Before you open a course
No. It shows the subjects currently available on EduNinja. The full Diploma Programme also includes subject options not listed here; check the official IB curriculum and your school’s offerings.
No. Selecting SL or HL opens that course’s learning resources in EduNinja. Any change to your school course or exam registration must be arranged with your school.
Open your subject and then your exact level. Assessment information belongs to that course; a grade boundary must also match the relevant exam session rather than being treated as one fixed IB-wide percentage.
Check the syllabus version or first-assessment label on the subject and course pages against your school’s guide. If they do not match, confirm the applicable version before using the topic list or assessment guidance.
